Okay, I wasn’t going to do an Urban Fantasy and Chocolate giveaway this month, because I’m gearing up for the release of Rogue (28days and counting!) but an opportunity presented itself, and I couldn’t pass this one up.
Tomorrow, my fellow FFF member Caitlin Kittredge’s debut novel Night Life will hit the shelves. Well, actually, it may already be there. The publishing industry is weird that way. But anyway, here’s your chance to win a signed copy, along with some fantastic chocolate!
About the book:
Welcome to Nocturne City, where werewolves, black magicians, and witches prowl the streets at night... Among them is Luna Wilder, a tough-as-nails police officer whose job is to keep the peace. As an Insoli werewolf, Luna travels without a pack and must rely on instinct alone. About the chocolate, Frog Truffles from The Swiss Colony:
Our silky, light-as-air chocolate truffle centers, are covered in green Swiss creme and hand-decorated—froggy style! Gift of 12, .50 oz. each.
I wish I had some great story about how frogs are actually relevant to Night Life, but I don’t. The truth is that they were just adorable, and I couldn’t find a chocolate werewolf. So I’m going with frogs. ;-)
Unfortunately, The Swiss Colony won’t ship outside the US, and I can’t lay my hands on a set of these in person. But, since so many of the regulars here don’t live in the US, I’m offering an alternative chocolate, which I can and will ship myself.
This is an 8.5 oz bag of Lindor Truffles, milk chocolate with white chocolate filling. It’s a limited edition flavor (though they had one just like it in a red bag for Valentine’s Day) and my personal favorite truffle in the world. Number 1 and I have gone through at least 10 bags of these in the last two months. Seriously.
I know, it’s a sickness. But anyway, hopefully this way everyone will feel included, because you qualify for this giveaway if you’re not related to either me or Caitlin, even if you’ve won something from one of us before.

I actually had quite a trip looking for Caitlin's new book (a book I've been waiting months to read). I left work, thinking to sneak to the book store. Got halfway to the store, noticed I had left my purse at work. Drove all the way back to work, got my purse and decided to take the freeway back to the store. Got stuck in traffic, then missed my exit. Had to turn around and get back on the freeway in the opposite direction....Finally made it to the store. Started out at the new release section. No book. Went to the horror section. No book. Tried SF/Fantasy area. Still no Book! Decided to try the romance section (strangely, that is where some of the urban fantasy is stocked). Still NO BOOK. I was sad. Very Sad. So I drove all over town (all those misdirections should have clued me in that I wasn't gettin' the book tonight) with no new book to show for my time...(whiny sob).
So, it would be wonderful to win a book. (yes?)
