Wait... coherent thoughts. Uhh brain mush, what did I want to talk about again? Oh yeah! Really encouraging to us Jace fans. Marc is such a jerk- I know he was wronged or whatever but I could never be with some one so violent. Sure he hasn't hit her; yet. BUT he has admited to considering when she has pissed him off in the past I am thinking ticking time bomb and when he does there will be no taking him back.

Also, way to not start stuff slow. I love it right into the love triangle and the pregnant girl friend ^^

This is amazing and only makes me want to read Alpha even more now! I can't wait until it's released!

Awesome first chapter! So much pain and hurt for everyone, I feel sorry for them all. But ah I wanna know what's happening with Angela!! Can't wait for the rest of it.

I want to see Faythe and Marc make up!!!
That excerpt was both evil and brilliant. Brilliant...well coz it was. Liked the beating on Ryan bit. And Marcs new sharp tongue.
Evil because it wasn't nearly enough!
Can't wait for Alpha to come out.

Thanks for putting that up! Such a good first chapter! I cannot wait until the rest of it comes out, I am dying to know what happens ;)

Perfect first chapter. I feel bad for Marc, but man, is he angry. Also, glad Ryan got what he did. He deserved it
Thank you so much! I cant wait for the release.

Hi, where is the excerpt for Alpha? Clicked on the link on the blog page and it says to check back later for the excerpt!

Thank you so much for Chapter 1.

I would act the same way if I were Marc. I've always had a soft spot for Jace but.... I have this really bad habit of figuring out a book w/in the first couple chapters and I am so hoping I'm wrong here. But I don't see the happy ever after for everyone happening here.

I think I'll go buy stock in Kleenx :).

Anonymous, click the link, then refresh the page. Your browser is probably loading a cached version, from before the live excerpt link went up last night. ;)

Hi, sorry but it's not working for me either. I tried refreshing it and it still wont show up :(

It's working for me. But here's the direct link to the PDF.

Thank you Rachel for the tip, tried it but it still didn't work. Managed to get the link working through Internet Explorer. Great first chapter can't wait to read the rest of Alpha.
Thanks for writing such a fantastic series.

OMG
Just the first chapter and I'm already tearing up... Cant wait for it to be release. Will it be released as an ebook on the same day??

That was awesome Rachel!! Of course now I want to read the rest of the book! I told myself that would happen but I couldn't resist being able to read Chapter 1, not just an excerpt.

So can't wait for the Angela bits!! It's what we were talking about on the Pride awhile back!!

Thanks!

I love Marc. He's been through so much all his life and has been hurt multiple times by Faythe, albeit unintentionally. I'm excited about ALPHA and can't wait to read it in full. Love you, Rachel!!

Wow, thank you for that:) Seriously, that was intense. I know so many people love Marc but I can't imagine having to choose. I can't wait for the book!

Thank-you! Loved it. I am a Jace fan so drool, drool. ;)

I appreciate the opportunity to read the first chapter but I will NOT be doing that!

I can't tease myself like that. I'd rather wait not knowing then wait knowing what's happening. :)

Looking forward to reading the full book!

I must say that I agree with everyone on the 'happy Ryan got what he deserves' but I have a feeling he wasn't back simply for the money like Faythe assumed, there's no way he would risk it. Knowing Rachels way of writing it's probably something a lot more urgent than that. Not to mention the fact that I'm entirely possitive there's a traitor in the pride, though I'm not sure who it is. I have a feeling this is gonna be a heart wrenching and yet calming book to read. I look forward to it.
