In obsessively staring at glancing at my calendar, I noticed that Alpha officially comes out 11 weeks from tomorrow. Since I'm terrified stressed paralyzed by nerves excited, I've decided that we'll be celebrating the countdown to this sixth and final Shifters release in style. I'll be offering something new every week until the release. Excerpts, deleted scenes, prizes, trivia, the Alpha trailer, Shifters extras, etc...
This week's Shifters treat is the first chapter of Alpha. I'll be posting it tonight (#1, my website magic worker, is at his day job right now), so check back this evening.
In other news, I've almost finished the Tod story (yes, it has a working title, but no, I won't tell you what it is), but I'm putting it aside today to let it "age" and to work on page proofs for My Soul to Steal, which are due this week. This is my last chance to make changes (small ones) to the manuscript before it goes to print, and the finality of that fact always makes me a little nervous.
We're a little ahead of the typical time frame on this one, because MSTSteal will be out a month early in Australia, so we have to have everything done on their timetable, rather than the US one this time.
Regarding the cover, I'm told a non-final version of it has gone out to buyers with my publisher's catalogue, but I still don't have the final version in my possession, so obviously I can't show it off yet. Soon, though... ;-)

I just finished Shift, and man, am I ready for Alpha. Wow, you must get a lot of Team Mark or Team Jace fans- I know some people are rabid about these things:) I personally am torn. I can't wait to see what you decided for Faythe!
11 weeks for Alpha, wow. That is coming up fast isn't it? I am excited for you! And the first chapter, woo hoo! I know I will be checking back later for that :)

Or Alpha! Which is pretty obvious! My friend who is now recently hooked thanks to me is mad at me for making her hooked and now she has to suffer with me in the wait! Isn't spreading that kind of "love" great!! ;)

I need to catch up quick then! I've only had the pleasure of reading Stray (LOVED it!). I'm also still behind on your Soul Screamers series... being broke sucks lol. But I can't wait to sit down with all of them.
I'm horribly late with jumping on the Shifters love *hand slap* but I'm on book 5 right now and so excited for Alpha. I've got to admit, the good thing about joining the Shifters love now is that I haven't had the need for patience while I waited for the next book release. I lack pretty much all patience.
Anyway, cannot wait for book 6 & to find out what all happens in Book 5!

After you said you were going to post the first Chaptr of Alpha last week I decided I would re-read the series. EEEk and I am not done lol. Translation: No house work is being done today ;)

Yeah for us in OZ!! We finally get something early! I am going to be a little sad to read Alpha being that it is the last book in the series. But hey.. all good things much come to an end they say! Also Tod's story is going to be great, can't wait to get a little more of a insight into what makes him tick!
