(Late) Weekly giveaway!

Sorry this week's giveaway is late. I got distracted. But, the good news is that there are now five new international editions to add to the list of available books!

But first, the winner of last week's giveaway is:

Debbie, whose comment began: "Personally, I don't like cliffhangers, but it is true that they bring me to the next book."

And, since Crystal Maki never claimed her prize, I'm redrawing a winner for last week's prize. The new winner is:

Vidia Trident, whose comment began: "After seeing the movie trailer for BEASTLY..."

Debbie and Vidia, please email me (rachelATrachelvincentDOTcom) with your shipping information and your selection of books from the list below.

To enter this week's foreign edition giveaway, leave me a comment telling me what second language you speak, or what second language you'd most like to speak. One comment will be chosen at random and the winner will be announced on Monday. You must check into see if you've won and claim your prize, or I will redraw a winner next week.

I don't speak a second language. I think it would be helpful to speak Spanish.

Congrats to last week's winners!

I speak Vietnamese and Spanish. Well, mediocre Spanish, lol.

I'm currently learning Japanese as a second language. I chose it because I have general love for Japanese culture. Its a fun language to learn but its also really difficult.

I don't speak a second language *kicking myself*, but if I did I would want to speak Malagasy because I hope to work in Madagascar working with lemurs when I grow up and get my masters/ph.d.

I've played with learning a few foreign languages: French, Spanish, and Arabic. And out of them all I would love to be fluent in Spanish - it sounds so passionate!

English is my second language actually, French is my first =)
Thanks for the giveaway! And I already voted / commented for the cover ^^

I took 5 years of Spanish.. But I def can't speak it! I would love to learn sign language. I think it's really cool and useful. Otherwise, spoken, French is pretty! :)

I speak Cantonese at home. I took French all through high school but have forgotten it all! And I know a little bit of ASL.

Hablo un poquito espanol, pero quiero aprendar Italiano.

I speak a little Spanish, but I'd like to learn Italian. (And apologies to native Spanish speakers, I suspect my grammar is off there.)

I read French fairly fluently but speak it terribly.

I would like to learn Russian just because it sounds so interesting!

I speak fluent Spanish since my mom is Mexican, I'm also so white (like my Polish dad) that whenever someone hears me speaking it without an accent looks of shock ensue. It's as though I sprout horns lol.

I forgot all the german I learned at high school, there are two second languages I'd love to learn. The first is Irish because I am Irish and a couple of my cousins are fluent in it plus my 3 and 5 year old nieces know more Irish then me! The second language I'd love to learn is Arabic because my dad was working in Jirdan when I was born so despite being Irish from birth I was born in Aqaba in Jordan, so I'd love to be able to speak Arabic as well!

English is my second language as I'm French! :)

I took four years of spanish in high school. I don't really remember much though. I would either try to learn it again, or I think I would maybe learn Russian. Don't really know why I would want to learn Russian though. Would be cool, I think.

I don't have a second language, but would love to learn French and German in order to read a few books in their original language.

Actually, my second language is english ! My first is french and i would like to learn Spanish.

I learned French and German in school, though I'm not fluent. From those two my fave would be German. I want to learn more of it, since one of my good friend's is German.

It would be cool if I could speach Spanish, since it sounds pretty and Laten lol, since in all those supernatural tv series, that's the language they speak to get rid of evil.

Congrats to the winners...
As for a second language.. I failed freshmen Spanish BAD!!
But I would like to learn French.. They just sound hot when they talk.

I would LOVE to go to Australia and even speak it as a second language. :]

English is actually my second language, but I love so much! My first language is Italian and I also speak French and Spanish. A little bit of Chinese, but it's too hard and I never have the time to study it properly. I can understand Portuguese too, although I do not speak it. I'm a language-lover, maybe cause I am a translator!

With a Japanese mother, one would think I'd be fluent...I'm sorry this isn't the case. I can mostly follow a conversation, especially if it is about me. ;) I studied French in high school and college because Italian wasn't offered.

Well, I Attempted to Learn German from one very Grumpy German Teacher.
Lucky I was Teacher's Pet or I think I would've Failed...!! ;)

Besides I think I'd Rather Kidnap an Irishman and make him Teach me, Would definitely Sound Better. *sigh*

English is my second languange, because I speak in Indonesian, though for the future I want to learn German, French and Spanish..

Growing up my grandma would go back and forth between English and Spanish. The sad thing is, she would switch to spanish when she got to the parts she didn't want the kids to understand. One would think it would inspire me to learn, huh? LOL

If only to understand what they were saying in Moulin Rouge, I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to learn French. I speak a little Spanglish-Southern style;p

I don't speak a second language (unless you are including Pig Latin into this XD). I did take German for my freshman year in high school, Spanish my sophomore, and Japanese my first semester of college. I would really enjoy learning both German and Japanese to the point of being able to speak them fluently and understand them. I would also like to learn Latin.

Kristina O.

I speak Arabic and Hindi...would love to learn French (sounds sophisticated) ;)

I speak a smidge of Spanish and I'm fluent in baby. I'd love to learn French.

My second language is English~

Well... my second language is English and my first is French. Am I actually the fourth commenter to say this?!

I don't speak a second language, but I would love to learn Italian. It's such a sexy language to me and someday I would love to visit Italy with my husband and speaking Italian would be of some use :)

German is a language I would like to re-explore. I took three years in High Schoo, but have since left that behind.

German is the language is speak best, but I am Hungarian so I also speak Hungarian. From the languages I've learned I feel most comfortable in English, but I like Spanish very much too...

I speak arabic as second language.

Have a great week ;D

I would love to learn french too.

I speak a small amount of French and Spanish, from GCSE and A Levels, mostly forgotten now.

I would love to know Latin
xx

I speak Spanish as my second language. I would love to learn German, French and Italian as well.

Well, my native language is Portuguese, so English would be my second language. I understand French, Spanish and a bit of Italian, but I would love to be able to speak any of these fluently. =)

I took 1.5 years of Japanese in college and got to the point that we weren't allowed to speak anything but Japanese in the classroom. It was fun and I would love to pick it back up again.

I don't speak a second language, but I would like to learn to speak Russian.

I have always wanted to learn sign language.

I don't really speak a second language. I know a little french and a little dutch.

I don't speak a second language, but one I would love to learn French. I did take it in high school, but it never really stuck with me! :)

Id say English is my second language too but its the only thing i speak because i really suck at my mother-tongue :) I would love love love to learn spanish, japanese and korean <3

My first language is Finnish, but I like to read my books in English.

I have also studied little bit of Swedish, German, French, Greek and Latin. I have no use to those languages so I have forgotten almost everything. I would like to learn Esperanto, if there weren't so many s-letters.

Hi~! :3
English is my first language, but I have been learning Hebrew since I was a toddler. It's such a pretty language and while I have forgotten a lot of it while learning other languages, I'm still almost fluent in it. I have also been learning Spanish for the past few years.
I would also love to learn Greek (so that I can finally understand what my uncle, Yiayia[grandma], and other cousins are saying when they are yelling at me XD), Japanese, French, and Russian.

I would love to be able to speak Spanish fluently. I can speak it a little, but not enough. My grandmother is from Puerto Rico and I travel to Mexico sometimes for work, so it would REALLY help out. Thanks for the great giveaway!

I speak a little French, not very well because I have forgotten it all, but I would love to learn Italian. I have always dreamed of going to Italy some day and being able to speak it.

English is my first language with Spanish being my second. I speak French near fluently and I'm learning Italian.

I love languages. Lol

I would say Spanish and German are tied as my second language, though I don't know enough of either one to speak them fluently yet.

I also know Greek, Latin, and Hebrew, but I've forgotten most of them since they're not used much. I'd love to learn more German, though! :D

I speak a bit of Welsh (as am half welsh) but would love to be fluent.

Io parlo Italiano
y hablo Español.
When I was in high school I also had Russian and French but, lack of use = lack of memory. I would love to get my Russian back and improve my Italian and Spanish. I will add it to the list of Things to do, right after learn HTML,CSS and XML.

I don't speak a second language. The language that I really want to learn is American Sign Language.

I would like to speak German fluently, instead of just knowing a tiny bit after four years of study.

Apart from English I also speak Cantonese and would love to learn Korean one day.

I don't speak any language other than English fluently, but I'm working super-hard to change that fact! It's one of my life-goals to become fluent in another language!!

I'm an Italian major in college so I'd say I'm proficient in it but definitely not fluent yet

I'm also an Arabic minor. And I've studied Russian and Spanish previously but not anymore.

Hopefully, I'll be fluent in at least Italian, Arabic, and Spanish in the years to come!

English is my second language and I like it much better then my frist language german. My third language is Russian. And I'd like to learn Spanish!

I really wish I could speak German!! All of my family are descendants of Germany, meaning I am 100% German even tho I am 100% American. Although, the dialect of German my family used to speak does not exist anymore. Its not the German you would hear going to Germany or the one you would learn in a class. So I'm sad that part of my culture was lost.

English is actually my second language, my first is Dutch. I also speak a bit French and German and can read some Latin, but it's all faded a bit since I graduated from high school.
I would LOVE to learn Chinese or Greek, or Spanish, that would be so much fun!

I speak Spanish and Turkish. I've also picked up a little German and Italian singing classical music. My senior year of high school I lived in Izmir, Turkey and would love to go back there someday with my 3 little boys! Our graduation ceremony was actually in the ancient library in Ephesus. It was a wonderful experience and I'm still good friends with many of the people I went to school with.

My second language is English and my first is Spanish. I also speak Catalan, is a language spoken in some places of Spain.

I don't speak a second language. I think it would be helpful to speak Spanish. And i have got to admit accents are pretty sexy!!

I learned to speak a little German in high school, and I'd love to speak it more fluently.

I sort of speak a little of spanish. I really need to speak more of it. I live in a predominately spanish area and my boyfriend's family speaks mostly spanish so it would be good if I did too. For some reason no matter how many classes I take it just won't stick.

My second language is English :)

Love from Norway!
Thanuja

I speak Portuguese and Italian, because my mum is Brazilian and my dad is Italian. It comes in handy sometimes. :)

I don't speak another language, but I think it would be cool to learn a language that has died out.

Irish and German, I would also love to learn Spanish

I would love to learn Spanish! I think it's such a beautiful dialect!

Thanks
Kate

I was born in Germany, so I speak it fluently. I also took French for 6 years.

Vivien

I speak English only right now but I would LOVE to learn how to speak Hungarian (my heritage) or French because I think French is just beautiful. Or Italian. :-)

I speak English as a second language. I'm from Argentina (I speak Spanish). I'd like to learn French.

Thanks for the chance!

mina_ktupquera@hotmail.com

I am currently learning Spanish, fluently speaking it will not happen very soon. I'd kill to be able to speak Latin though!

i took spanish in high school and college but only remember very little...i would like to begin studying it again

I've learnt a bit of Dutch and Japanese, but I've always wanted to learn how to speak French!

I think it would be really cool to learn to speak russian, but my second language is French, and really bad mandarin chinese. :)

i speak english, spanish and chinese. Hablo Inglés, español y chino. 我讲英语,西班牙语和中文。

I don't speak a second language, but I think I would like to learn French...

I don't speak a second language, but would like to speak Spanish. I think it would come in handy living in Florida and I'd love to travel to Spain one day as well.

I am in the process of learning French (I'm decent at it- this is my second year). I would, however, love to learn many different languages. For some reason, I would love to learn Russian in particular. I don't really know where that came from (maybe my fascination with the story of Anastasia since I was little?), but I do have a friend that is half-Russian (she teaches me some phrases). I don't know that Russian would be all that useful here in America, where Spanish is the largest non-English language spoken, but oh well.

English is actually my 2nd language. I grew up speaking spanish and when i started elementary school i began speaking english. Now I speak both languages fluently :)

Liliana

I read Greek and Hebrew, but I'm getting rusty.

Hey Great contest!!

I'm fluent in Portuguese and English. I was born in Canada but my parents are both from portugal. My mom wasn't very good with english so my first language was portuguese but she still taught me my English and by the time I went to Kindegarten I knew how to count to 100 and all my abcs :)

I would also love to learn Italian, greek, Japanese, and Latin

i'd love to learn to speak spanish or asl

I speak some Spanish, not well but I know food so that's all I need.

My second language is English. and i do speak English right now :)

my second language is hebrew but id also love to learn spanish

Shaina K

I speak Vietnamese and been learnng spanish

My second language is vietnamese, though I do not speak it that well, something my mom always scolds me about. I do not learn languages very well so I am only fluent in English, I am also learning French in school right now. I want to learn sign language and though not a language I would also like to learn morse code.

I'm teaching myself Hawaiian, and I know Spanish and am currently taking french classes at school. I'd love to learn Gaelic and Russian though too! Each language is beautiful in its own way.

I speak French (even have a BA that proves it), can dabble in Spanish, & would love to speak Russian. :D Thanks for the contest!

English is my first language and Spanish is my second. I'm semi fluent in French and I'm learning Italian. =)

I speak little italian and would loveee to learn more hehe

I speak Mandarin as my second language. :D

i dont speak any second languages but if i could i'd like it to be italian, russian or spanish (for Marc ;P)

Spanish is my second language and "Spanglish" is my third language. ;)

I speak english and french as second language :D

Latin....no idea what I'd do with it, but I always thought it would be cool.

In Singapore, 2nd Language is a must for everyone though which language you take totally depends on your ethnicity. I'm a Malay hence my 2nd Language is Malay.

In South East Asia, Malay is also known as a language of love due to its beautifully crafted sentences in lyrical form. For Eg, "Hanya dengan anyaman kasih sejati, dibina mahligai seindah syurgawi" In English, it means Only with true love woven, heavenly beautiful castle built.

I think the malay communty in Asia would definitely grab your books if its translated!

I don't speak a second language but i would love to be able to speak Spanish or Greek

Besides English I can speak in Hindi, French, Portuguese and Konkani (a regional language here in India)
xx Clarissa

I speak English mainly at home but I also speak Cantonese as a second language. I learnt French for two years as well and am planning to continue learning it. =]

English was my first language and then of course it was mandarin or else my parents would never live it down. I also know Cantonese, a bit of Spanish and japanese. But I want to learn Korean so badly. I would teach myself but I don't know if I'm a good self teacher.

I'd quite like to be able to speak French. I used to study it at school, and I was fairly good and did really quite well in my exams, but I've forgotten it all since. I love how beautiful French sounds!

English is my second language! My native language is Czech :D

I also can understand our Slovakian neighbours 'cause we were part of one state together for a long time. And I live near Poland frontier so I speak even Polish. I took 4 years of Spanish but I can remember only few phrases like: "Una cerveza por favor!" "Yo no tengo dinero." "Mi casa es tu casa." :D :D :D But I have friends in Mexico and Columbia so I want to try it again :D I took even 2 years of Latin... but... it's dead language so nobody can speak it really fluently :D

I really LOVE languages! I want to try Russian and Japanese!

sykorova.p@gmail.com

I speak three languages. I was born and raised in The Netherlands but I'm from Turkey.

1st language: Turkish
2nd language: Dutch
3th language: English

I would love to be able to speak Italian or Spanish.

Vietnamese is my second language (over the years i been using it less and less and I only use it to speak to my parents and elders),and a little japanese (from all those hs classes). I wish I knew how to speak Spanish or French.

Unfortunatley i can only speak one language, English, although i did study 5 years of Spanish in school but that was so long ago I can only remember a few random words :D. I would love to be able to go back to it and re-learn everything i have forgotten :D

I took Spanish up to grade 12 in high school and I love it. I think if I was going to learn another language it would be German.

I speak Mandarin Chinese, along with a bit of French.

I am hopelessly linguistically challenged. Most people where I live speak 3 languages; but I can barely manage 1 :(

I speak a smattering of Cantonese (chinese dialect) but not sufficiently to carry out a meaningful conversation with a native speaker without inserting at least half the conversation with English words.

I used to be fluent in Japanese however since i haven't spoken it in over 4 years i'm very rusty, I've also studied German and Italian both of which I know the bare basics. I would love to become fluent in German or French though.

I'm currently working on Spanish right now. Makes me appreciate how confusing English must be to everybody else in the world.

I live in Quebec and I'm English so that means one thing: if I wanted to have my high school graduation approved, I had to learn French.

Of course, the same doesn't apply to the Francophones living in Quebec.

Not that I'm bitter or anything.

I speak French and some rusty italien. I'm trying to learn Ancient greek (Yes, I know its a dead language)and I'd like to learn Flemish and Irish

English is actually my second language, since Mandarin is my mother tongue. I do also speak French and am currently in the process of learning Japanese!

I speak some random German, which I some how remember from High School. I would love to speak Italian though, such a sexy language!

I took french in high school, but I can't remember enough of it to consider it a second language. At the time I thought I wanted to be a chef and I wanted to go to cordon bleu. In the end I went to school to become a pharamcist and now I wish I know Spanish so I could communicate better with the customers who come to our pharmacy.

I took Spanish in High School but honestly I only remember the curse words, and how to order more tequila.
I wish I could speak and write in Greek. I think it's such a neat ancient language.

I'm bilingual in English/Spanish and have taken french on and off for a couple of years!

I took French but I cant say that I speak it. Although really I would like to study it again one day and actually learn it for real not just to graduate.

I can speak French, if learning it from school counts. :) Even though it's a little common, I really do love it!

English is still my favourite, though -- I like that there are a bunch of words that have the same meaning because it makes it that much easier to write! :)

melinda.vong@hotmail.com

I would loveto learn Italian. I even downloaded an app for my iPhone and have practiced.

I speak some spanish, but if I had to be fluent in something I would want it to be Sign Language. I would want to be able to translate for kids.

Samantha Jo @ Romance Lover Anonymous

I speak Chinese.

I can speak French...if learning through school counts. I love the language...it's not called the language of love for no reason ;)
~ Serena

My second language is English. But usually, I find that I can express myself better in English. I speak spanish. Right now, I'm in advanced spanish.
I haven't read your series yet! I'd love to read the first one. :) M soul to...save?

I sorta speak Spanish. I'm still learning but it's really easy to learn.

I dont speak another lanuage but I would chose to speak Spanish because I love the way they talk. haha xoxo

English is my 1st language and I speak Indonesian at a secondary school level. But I would love to be able to speak fluent Polish. Half my family are from Poland but because they left when the wars began my mum, aunts and uncles can’t say more than a few sentences. I’d love to reconnect with my lost heritage.

I think Russian would be the best language to know; the chance of someone speaking Russian in Australia is slim to none so you could say something like "I stepped in a potato pie" and sound awesome :)
Я шагнул в картофеля пирог hehehe

I speak a couple of languages, but the best at the moment is Japanese. I really enjoy reading japanese mangas and eat sushi. :)
Main Language is german, by the way.

i can speak a few french words to get me by(sorta) but nothing thats any good!!but i would love to learn italian, very sexy!!

really cant wait for the art of seducing a naked werewolf!!!

At high school I learnt French, but more recently I have taken to speaking Italian, as I have spent some time over there. My reading is a little sketchy, but my speaking is coming along :) its easier to learn the language when you are immersed in it though!

my second language it's actually English^^
(wich I love...maybe that's why I study it in every way possible)

and my first is Spanish...and just a tiny bit of japanese^^

I don't speak a second language tried to learn Spanish but not to good at it! Thank you for the giveaway!
tishajean@ charter.net

Does Spanglish count as a second language? Well if it does, I'd be considered fluent! :)

Seriously, my spanish is good, at least I can get by. I'm trying to learn French...

Hmm... Decent in Tagalog and Chinese, but my grammar is wrong. And i dont know hard words. :P

I speak Spanish fairly fluently and enough french to get around the New Orleans area.

I don't speak a second language well enough to communicate...but I do know a little bit of Spanish and French. I took French in high school and I know some Spanish just from living in an area where there was a high concentration of Hispanics and you pick it up quickly....

I speak broken Spanish... but I am getting better and working on being fluent. I actually want to become fluent in Sign Language and I eventually want to learn French :)

My second language is english :) My first being Swedish!

i will learn Italian someday. its would be so awesome to speak language that Dante Alighieri was speaking :)

i'd love to speak spanish just because it sounds sexy! i used to have to learn to speak german when i was in a high school and hated it =/

I'm learning to speak Russian, Chinese, and Spanish, although the Spanish isn't optional.
